Terms & Conditions - Product Photography Services
1. Booking & Payment
To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of confirmation. This ensures your slot is reserved and preparation for your shoot can begin. The remaining 50% is payable upon completion of the project, prior to the release of final images. Payments can be made via EFT or other agreed-upon methods. No work will commence until the initial deposit has been received. Late payments may incur a fee of 10% of the total project cost per week overdue.
2. Delivery Timeline
Final edited images will be delivered within 7-10 working days after the shoot, unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger projects or during peak periods, turnaround times may be extended slightly. Clients will be notified of any expected delays in advance. Express delivery may be available upon request for an additional fee. All images will be delivered via a secure online gallery or download link.
3. Image Rights & Usage
Clients are granted a non-exclusive license to use the final images for commercial purposes including digital marketing, social media, websites, and print materials. The images may not be altered in a way that misrepresents the original work, nor may they be resold or transferred to third parties without prior written consent. The photographer retains the copyright and reserves the right to use images for promotional purposes including, but not limited to, portfolio display, social media, competitions, and advertising unless the client requests otherwise in writing.
4. Revisions
Each package includes one round of basic revisions such as color adjustments, background cleanup, and minor retouching. Requests for additional changes beyond the initial revision may be subject to extra charges, depending on the complexity of the work. Major edits or specific retouching requests should be discussed prior to the shoot to ensure proper preparation and avoid misunderstandings.
5. Product Handling
Clients are responsible for delivering all products in clean, usable condition prior to the scheduled shoot date. Products that arrive damaged, dirty, or incomplete may delay the shoot or result in additional charges for preparation. While every effort is made to handle all products with care, the photographer is not liable for any damage or loss during shipping or handling. If products need to be returned post-shoot, return shipping arrangements must be made in advance and at the client’s expense.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling
If a client needs to cancel, notice must be given at least 48 hours before the scheduled shoot to avoid forfeiting the deposit. One reschedule is permitted at no extra cost if notice is given more than 48 hours in advance. Subsequent rescheduling may incur a fee. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the shoot will result in loss of the deposit. In the rare case that the photographer must cancel, a full refund of the deposit will be issued, or a reschedule will be offered.
7. Storage & File Access
Final images will be stored for 30 days after delivery. During this time, clients are responsible for downloading and securely backing up their images. After 30 days, the photographer may no longer retain a copy of the project files. Re-uploading of archived images beyond the storage period may incur a service fee if the files are still available.
8. Liability
The photographer shall not be held responsible for delays caused by acts of nature, accidents, or events beyond reasonable control. While every effort is made to meet client expectations, the photographer is not liable for dissatisfaction resulting from unclear or changing directions during or after the shoot. Clients are encouraged to communicate their vision and expectations clearly from the outset.
If you have questions or require clarification on any of the above points, please reach out directly before confirming your booking. By booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
